Glenn Richard Gregory Lewis

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Glenn Richard Gregory Lewis who passed away at Lions Gate Hospital on Sunday October 4, 2015 surrounded by love of family and friends. Glenn was born to his parents Sam and Mabel Lewis in Vancouver on July 18, 1947. He descends from the Antone/Lewis and Harry/Andrew families and grew up in North Vancouver on Capilano IR No. 5. Glen attended both boarding and day school at St. Paul’s, drove semi truck for BC Rail and worked as a Longshoreman for many years. Glenn loved his years training for and racing canoes with the St. Theresa Canoe Club. He played slow pitch for Marks Gang, Capilano Sockeyes and also enjoyed volleyball. We will miss his great big smile and his gentle loving nature.

Glenn is survived by his sisters Karen, Rosalind; brother Lloyd; common-law partner Shirley Campbell; Juanita Lewis mother of his sons: Andrew, Ned (Katherine), and Gabriel ‘Snipper’ (Jennifer); and children Emma, Loretta (Gilbert), Alex (Liz), Bernadette (Augie); and many loving relatives and dear friends.

A Prayer Service will be held on Thursday October 8, 2015 at 7:00 pm; and a Funeral Service on Friday October 9, 2015 at 10:00 am both at Totem Hall, 1380 Stawamus Road, Squamish, BC. On-line condolences can be found at www.glenhavenmemorialchapel.com
