Fondly known as Lore to many, and Oma to her grandchildren.
Hannelore will be remembered for her happy and cheerful disposition.
Always smiling, forever positive. She was extraordinarily hard working, constantly moving and doing. Sitting still wasn’t her nature. She was always ready to prepare a meal if you were visiting, and, she loved her coffee, so a pot of coffee could always be put on at a moment’s notice.
Hannelore loved the outdoors. Walking, sailing and cycling were her joy.
A green thumb, an avid gardener, there was hardly a plant she couldn’t make thrive.
We were all in awe of her extraordinary memory, her self discipline, and the love she had for her family.
Predeceased by her husband Gerd, they met as teenagers and remained fiercely in love their entire lives. Together they came to Canada from Bremen, Germany, and built a wonderful life together, a good home and family. Their children and grandchildren were everything to them.
Hannelore is also predeceaced by her son Wilfried (Hanne). It broke her heart.
Hannelore is survived by her son Ralph (Eva), grandchildren Britta, Barbara (Sean), Justin (Jasmine) and Angela (Mark), and great grandchildren Jack and Juliette.
She will be sadly missed by all.
Rest In Peace Oma, together again with Opa.
