Hazel Loretta Baker

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear elder Hazel Loretta Baker (nee Johnston). Hazel was born to her parents William & Emma (nee: Jack) Johnson on June 16, 1932 on Capilano IR # 5 and she passed away peacefully in her home on Mission IR #1 on June 7, 2016. Hazel descends from the Johnson / Jack families. She will be remembered for many years married to her late husband Thomas Baker and love for family and friends. She enjoyed bingo, crosswords, rubik’s cube and Young and the Restless.

Hazel is survived by and will be deeply missed by her children Vern, Karen, William (Daneen), Bonnie (Manuel), Heather (James), Thomas and Victoria (Bob); grandchildren Shannon (TJ), Casey (Lance), David (CC), Henry (Adena), Sherry (Axel), William Jr. , Kirk, Craig, Llewellyn, Christopher, Aaron (Angelina), Travis, Trevor (Candice), Stephanie (Brandon), Bo, Alex (Aiyana), Caroline (Kingsley), Thomas Jr., Nicholas, Heather, Bret, Ivy, Warren (Corey), Lynn, Katrina; great grandchildren Sarai, Ayaysha-Brielle, Allan, Jaiden, Carter, Theiren, Leighton, Talan, Koda, Litonya, Erin, Axel, Elizabeth, Nohloni, Travis Jr., Kyrel, Kane, Emily, Trevor II, Isabella, Alexis, Aiden, Hazel, Emery, Saryn-Ashley, Sophia, Silas; one great great grandchild Kameron; and many many nieces, nephews, loving relatives and dear friends.

A Prayer Service will be held at St. Paul’s Indian Catholic Church, 426 West Esplanade, North Vancouver, on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Chief Joe Mathias Centre, 100 Capilano Road, North Vancouver, BC on Saturday June 11, 2016 at 10:00 am.
