It was heartbroken to hear the news. I was lucky to have Leonard as an understanding boss, a knowledgeable mentor and more importantly, a true friend. Rest in Peace, Leonard.

I worked with Leonard more than 10 years ago. I still remembered our company trip to Beijing where we both mistakenly dipped the very expensive sashimi grade beef into the hotpot thinking that they were the normal kind. We laughed our heads off! You will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace, Leonard.

I met Leonard in the year of 1993 In Surrey Vancouver when I had to do my internship at UBC during my final year of study. We then kept in touch since that time. My parents knew his parents. To me, he has always been a person who puts in hard work for the things he attempts. His determination to work hard and his “never say never” attitude are the most impressive. His kindness to always being ready to lend a helping hand is also something I will not forget. May Leonard rest in peace.

I met Leonard in MossVale around 1987-1988. We were Aurora boys and very quickly became a group of good friends. Leonard felt like our younger brother and was always shy and gentle. Although we didn’t see each other very often after graduation, he was a person who always made people warm and relaxing whenever we got a chance to meet. He was kind hearted who always considered feeling of others. He was also a true friend and trustworthy person that I invited him to be one of my groomsmen in my wedding.
Leonard, we will always miss you and wish you happiness wherever you are.

You will be missed! Not only your smiles and your determination to always excel in your work, but your courage and fight on spirit in facing your illness! Can't imagine how you managed to do it....not merely for yourself but had all the plans ahead for your loved ones! RIP and may God’s blessing be with Alice and Paul always! 🙏🙏🙏❤️

We love you!

I always felt that Leonard was a little brother in our group though he actually was elder. His passing truly hurts; and there are no words to express how sad I am. Looking at Paul’s photo really brings back lots of fond memories in Aurora and in St Michaels. Leonard, I miss you, and I wish you well wherever you are.

On my knees, in tears, heart-broken at losing you, dear Leonard, remembering your constant courage and determination, I make my loving prayer for your family. How happy I am that you came to Australia, that I knew and loved you. Thank you for all the goodness you brought into my life, the inspiration you gave me in my work for young people. Under the Southern Cross, I think of you, your family, and your friends, asking the Lord to give you the peace and joy you richly deserve after a life so well-lived. Thank you, dear Leonard, for everything.
