I have fond memories from childhood of working part-time as cashier at Shirley's Bakeries' Main store and watching Uncle "Big Jack" baking, as well as family outings (e.g. Jones Lake) of our family with Uncle "Big Jack" and his family.  I will always remember him for his ready smile and fishing skills.  He had landed some big fish in his time.

Uncle Jack, we will miss you dearly!  It was my pleasure to have you as a fishing buddy and a great friend.  RIP.

With deepest sympathy,  our condolences to the family. Great sorrow for the loss of a good friend since young age.  Jack was a kind,  friendly and caring person, we missed him and will always remember him. May he rest in peace.  

Uncle Jack is an Icon in our sport fishing community. He is our leader and our best friend. We have been fishing all over BC. West at the Pacific Ocean from Vancouver Island and East at the Fraser River and Thompson River up to Ashcroft. Together we visited Hong Kong and travelled to many cities in China almost every year. When we are home, we meet at least once  a week for morning tea( Dim Sum) regularly for the past 20 years. We enjoy these so much together. Uncle Jack  you are always in our heart and will be in our memories for ever. RIP

Jack will be dearly missed by family, relatives and friends.
Memories of Jack during our fishing trips, time spent together at Mc'Donalds, dim-sums & dinners etc will forever be cherished.
Jack was always very cheerful.  He was a great gardener, always had the best&biggest tomatoes and figs, plums etc to share with his friends.
I also remember the good times we had at ShenZhen and ShaoGuan during one of our vacation trips.
Jack's annual summer bbq at his residence was always a big hit and will always be remembered.

I had the pleasure to work with Sandra and Jack for over a decade. I was introduced to Sandra in 2003. Through Sandra, I got to meet Jack and their lovely family. After the sudden passing of Sandra, Jack had a very rough time. Jack would come to my office to chat and I could see he missed his beloved wife very much. I enjoyed listening to stories of his younger days, stories about him and Sandra, and how hard he had worked to raise a family of 3 boys. Jack loved to travel and spend time with his family and friends, he always showed his big smile and warmth. To this day, I still miss Sandra, and I am going to miss Jack. I am grateful that I worked with such a great couple. Thank you Jack, you will be dearly missed. 

Mr. Wong was a familiar sight whenever I visited the Wong household. A jovial and congenial man, he would always take the time to stop what he was doing and greet me with a smile and a friendly word or two to welcome me—whether it be from his kitchen table or when he happened to be tending to his garden.

The Wong family has my condolences for this terrible loss and Mr. Wong will be sorely missed by everyone whose lives he has touched over the years.

I remember a bunch of us often going to the Wong residence during our high school years and Mr. Wong was always so welcoming and happy to strike up a conversation with us naïve teenagers.  Now two decades after high school, I am so glad that I was able to see him again in the last couple of years.  My condolences for your loss as he will surely be missed.  I am confident that all of you will honor his life and memory by continuing to project the same level warmth and openness that he always had.
