Jesse Sean Johnston

It is with great sadness we advise of the sudden passing of Jesse Sean Johnston. Jesse was born to his mother Bonaro Leslie (nee Hall) and Jerry ‘Charlie’ Thomas Johnston on September 23, 1982 in North Vancouver, BC. He grew up on Mission IR No. 1 and Cheakamus IR No. 11 and descends from the Johnston/Lewis, Gladstone-Richards/Miller, Newman & Hall Families He attended Capilano Littlest Ones School, Westview Elementary School, Carson Graham Senior Secondary and Keith Lynn Alternative Secondary Schools. Jesse was quiet the athlete. He was an exceptional hockey player and was even scouted by Team Canada. He played lacrosse with Team BC in the 1997 North American Indigenous Games held in Victoria BC, they took home the GOLD. He gathered many MVP, All Stars and 1st place trophies and medals. Jesse really loved martial arts and would sit and watch Jean-Claud Van Damme for hours on end. Jesse was a very kind and considerate man.
Jesse is survived by his loving grandmother Lila May Johnston (nee: Lewis) & Alma Hall; father Jerry Thomas Johnston (Eileen); mother Bonaro Leslie Newman (nee: Hall) (Ronald); children Sahkoka Noelani Johnston & Matoskah ‘Mat’ Kalani Johnston & mother of children Nina Ashleigh Hansen; siblings Carmen Marie Hartle (Jerry), Glenn Peter Johnston, Ryan Patrick Johnston, Joelle Rose Johnston (Pedro), Nicole Angeleen Johnston; and nieces & nephews Ayela, Trevor, Cali, Jett; grandnephew Bryson; and many loving relatives and dear friends.
