We sadly announce the passing of our beloved John (Janos) Farkas. Born in Hungary, he first moved to Montreal, Quebec, before settling in Vancouver, British Columbia. He passed away peacefully at the age of 85, on Saturday, March 23, 2024.
The family sincerely thanks all who reached out to help John over the last few years. Your support & kindness was greatly appreciated and will always be remembered.
John was predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Mary, and leaves behind his stepdaughter, Lara (Mike), and two granddaughters, Sarah & Emily.
John was passionate about his Engineering career and his work made a positive impact. He also loved gardening, tennis, & playing the piano.
As per John’s request, there will be no funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation, in memory of John, to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
