John & I met at Canoe Cove M.F. G. in early 1976 after emigrating from the U.K with my wife & 2 children. We soon discovered that we had a lot in common. Firstly ,that Joy & John, Jackie & I were married in the same little  Churston Church,in S Devon  ,in the 60s.
Joy and Jackie had grown up close by.John & I were both .shipwrights trained in Europe.    John was10 yrs. older than I , but I am so glad that we met all those years ago , and shared some times on Pender Island in the latter years.,in the P.I Yacht Club.
