Karnail Singh Shergill

Born in 1939 in the village of Jhingran, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar District (formerly Nawanshahr), Punjab, India, Karnail Singh lived a life rooted in hard work, resilience, and devotion to family. In 1975, he made Vancouver his home, where he built a life filled with love, community, and cherished memories.

Karnail Singh will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Mohinder Kaur Shergill, and his children: Satpal Kaur Sangha, Ravinder Kaur Barn, Rajni Kaur Shergill-Deol, and Jagdeep Singh Shergill. He also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were touched by his kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit.

He will be remembered for his strength, humility, and unwavering commitment to his family. His presence brought comfort and guidance, and his legacy will live on through the values he instilled in those who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 11:30 AM at Hamilton Harron Funeral Home (5390 Fraser Street, Vancouver, BC).

The Bhog and Antim Ardas will follow at 1:30 PM at Khalsa Diwan Society Vancouver (8000 Ross Street, Vancouver, BC).
