I have many fond memories of Uncle Levi. I recall, as a small child, waiting in anticipation for his visit to our home in Nanaimo. On one occasion, we were all washed up and in our pj's waiting for his arrival. Finally, in the dark of night, we saw a big moving truck pull up in front of our house. It had a ship painted on the side with the word “Mayflower”. Out of the truck jumped Uncle Levi. The celebrating began.
Dear Uncle Levi -
Our thoughts are always with you,
your place no one can fill.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we love you still'
We hold you close within our hearts,
And there you will remain,
To walk with us throughout our lives
Until we meet again.
Love from Linda.

The first time I met Levi I knew I liked him. During the few years I spent in Vancouver I spent a lot of time with him and Doloris and back in those days part of his charm was his outspoken say exactly what he thought personality but underneath was a man who truly valued the people in his life.
The Levi I knew had a huge capacity to care and a desire to be there for the people in his life, even though when I knew him he' d put on his rugged exterior and complain about it most time. Family was very important to him and there was always a special place in his heart for Tim, they were an inseperable pair.
Although the years have passed I am still deeply saddened by hearing of his passing. There are many good memories of times shared at the Slocan or adventures in the old orange truck of his.
My thoughts and strength are shared with the family and friends during this difficult time. May you find comfort in each other and sharing some of your own memories of Levi.
