Librado “Lee” Añonuevo January 18, 1958 – January 5, 2020 Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Librado “Lee” (Boyet) Añonuevo, who passed peacefully on Sunday, January 5th after a long and difficult illness. Lee, beloved son of Apolinario and Filomena Añonuevo, was born and raised in Makati, Philippines but made Vancouver, BC his home in 1977. He was a devoted husband to his wife Josefina Baltar and a loving and wonderful father to daughter Zarah. He was predeceased by his first child, his son Luke, who passed shortly after his birth. An outstanding graduate with honors at the prestigious Emily Carr University of Art & Design in Vancouver, Lee produced several collections of original works of art in oil, acrylic and mixed media, as well as pottery. His pieces, some of which were recognized with awards, were featured in art galleries in the Pacific Northwest. A versatile artist, he also enjoyed cooking and playing guitar. He worked for 32 years at WorkSafe BC. Lee, fondly called Boyet by his immediate family, was the youngest of six children. He is survived by his five sisters, Natividad Yap, Luz Salaver, Violeta Noriega, Leticia Padilla and Amelia Casimiro. He was gracious and kind in his ways and was well loved. He will be truly missed. The memorial service and viewing will be held January 17, 2020 at Hamilton Harron Funeral Home (604-325-7441) at 5390 Fraser St., Vancouver, BC V5W 2Z1 from 5:00 pm to 9 pm.
