Lieselotte Frieda Clarke

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Lieselotte (Lisa) Frieda Clarke (nee Hoss). Lisa was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Lisa was born on September 27, 1929 in Stuttgart, Germany and passed away peacefully on January 3,2025 at Holy Family Hospital in Vancouver at the age of 95.

Lisa is sadly predeceased by her son Jasper (Michiko) in 2010 and her husband Ross in 2013; her father Ernst in 1971, her brother Helmut in 1985 and her mother Anna in 1990. She is survived by eldest son Nigel, daughters Constance (Brian) Surerus and Geraldine; beloved grandchildren Akiko (Riley) and their daughter Saya and Dexter (Sakura) Clarke, Spenser (Mirleigha), Andreas (Amy), Lindsay (Diego) Surerus; step-grandchildren Sean Surerus (Bronwen) and their children Wynn and Iain, Julia Walsh (Sean) and their children Connor, Liliana and Aedan.

The family wishes to extend their sincerest appreciation to the doctors, nurses, and spiritual staff at Holy Family Hospital for their care and compassion. They are also grateful to the lovely neighbours with whom she lived near in her later years, who subsequently became dear and supportive friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd at 1:30pm at St Augustine’s Anglican Church 8680 Hudson St., Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Family Hospital (Providence Health Care) 7801 Argyle St. Vancouver, BC V5P 3L6.
