Rev. Ljubomir Radulovich

Rt. Rev. Father Ljubomir Radulovich passed away peacefully at Surrey Memorial Hospital, Surrey BC. Canada on March 16, 2005at the age of 68 years. Father is survived by his loving son Darko (Alanna), his daughter Danijela (Arnie), grandchildren Patrick, Gino, Cedomir and Nikola, 4 sisters and 2 brothers, many other family and friends. Prayers and visitation will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday March 25th, 2005 at St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church, 7837 Canada Way, Burnaby, BC. Canada where the funeral service will be held on Saturday March 26th, 2005 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Burnaby BC. in Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Serbian Orthodox Church and Serbian Culture Centre, 7837 Canada Way, Burnaby, BC. Father Ljubomir’s Life Story

Ljubomir Radulovic was born in Podgorica, Montenegro, Yugoslavia, current day Serbia-Montenegro, on August 7th, 1936. Ljubomir became a school teacher at Njegos School in Cetinje, Montenegro where he taught the Serbian and Russian languages for three years. Ljubomir married Radmila Markovic at St. Petar’s Monastery in Cetinje, Montenegro. In 1956 Ljubomir went to Theology school at St. Sava Seminary in Beograd, Serbia and was ordained an Orthodox Deacon and then a Priest in 1960. Fr. Ljubomir and Radmila were blessed with 2 children Darko and Danijela. Fr. Ljubomir and his family moved from Montenegro, to Trieste, Italy in 1969 where he served at the local Serbian Orthodox Church for 6 months prior to moving his family to Rome, Italy. In 1970 the family moved to Libertyville-Chicago, IL. USA for 1 year where Fr. Ljubomir waited to be called to his own parish. In 1971 Fr. Ljubomir was assigned to St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Oakland, CA. In 1976 they were once again on the move to Vancouver, Canada where Fr. Ljubomir served for 8 years. Then the family moved back to California to San Diego where he served for 4 ½ years, they then moved to Saratoga, CA where he served for 5 years. Finally, the family moved back to Vancouver in 1987 where Fr. Ljubomir continued to serve the Orthodox faith. In 1992 the Radulovic family endured the tragic death of their dear Radmila. On March 5th 2005, Fr. Ljubomir attended the consecration of St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church in Burnaby, BC where he received a special crucifix from His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilohije, the bishop of Montenegro, which was sent by His Holiness Patriarch Pavle of the Serbian Orthodox Church. There has only been one of these crucifixes awarded to a priest in the past 100 years. On March 16, 2005 Fr. +Ljubomir Radulovic fell asleep in the Lord’s hands. He is survived by his two children Darko and Danijela; daughter-in-law Alanna; son-in-law Arnie; grandchildren Cedomir, Nikola, Patrick and Gino; Fr. Ljubo’s sisters Vojka of Chicago, USA, Verka, Ljubica and Milijana of Montenegro; Fr. Ljubo’s brothers Milorad and Vojislav of Montenegro and countless other relatives in America and Serbia-Montenegro.
