Luzviminda is survived by her sons Michael and James, plus her grandchildren Alaia, Eissa, and Mika. Luzviminda was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and friend.
Luzviminda was an underwriter with Wawanesa Life Insurance for almost 2 decades. She spent her free time with neighbours on long walks, binge watching TFC, spending time with friends at the casino and discovering new restaurants with her family. She also adored her grandchildren, who helped her smile through the pain.
A special thank you to the people at Vancouver General Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their loving care and support during her final days, especially to the family and friends who paid a visit to keep her spirits up. Also, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards Hamilton Harron Funeral Home for being very accommodating and understanding during this difficult time.
Visitation will be from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Hamilton Harron Funeral Home on Tuesday June 2nd. Funeral Services to follow from 1:00pm until 1:30pm.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be a 20 person capacity inside the chapel with a 2 meter physical distancing between chairs/households. There will be numbers given to rotate the 20 person capacity throughout the viewing. During the ceremony there can be no rotation and the family will inform you which 20 will be allowed inside. We will allow a live video feed with your smartphones for people outside the chapel to view the ceremony.
Also, there are no receptions allowed at all the funeral homes during these unprecedented times.
These rules will be enforced by staff, plus Worksafe B.C. may do an inspection during this time.
*Dress Code: Not all black, but a mix of black and white please. Luz also loved to wear the colour red, so please feel free to wear that also.
