

Survived by his wife Yang Ja, three children Grace, Dennis (Michelle) and Karen; and grandchildren Nicky (Sam) and Oscar; his siblings Ken, Carol and Sam and their families.
He was raised and educated in Korea and worked in the travel agency department of a steamship company in Seoul. He married his wife Yang Ja in 1963 in Seoul, Korea and they immigrated to Vancouver, BC, Canada in 1967.
After immigrating to Vancouver, he was very involved in the local Korean community. Man Woong led a very full life filled with friends and family.
His many accomplishments include:
• Started the first Korean travel agency in Vancouver
• Brought Korean Airlines to Vancouver
• Chartered the Vancouver Cambie Rotary Club and became their first president
• An avid golfer, he was involved in the Korean Society Golf Club, and won many tournaments
• A dedicated reader, writer and member of a Korean Literary Club, he wrote and published a historical fiction novel in retirement
His hobbies included fishing, golfing, traveling and collecting (including his extensive collection of golf ball markers).
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Vancouver General Hospital, 7th floor for the care that they provided.
