A pesar de la distancia y de la diferencia de edad, y de no haber compartido tanto tiempo juntos, siempre erais los primos de Cádiz, a los que volvíamos a ver cada verano y alguna que otra Navidad… la mayoría de mis recuerdos son de cuando éramos niños, porque después en la vida adulta ya no coincidimos tanto…. algo que lamento porque sólo he oído cosas buenas de ti y sin embargo ni cuando estabas en España ni siendo primos hermanos pude disfrutar de todas esas virtudes… sin embargo siempre tenias una  sonrisa en la cara y muy buen sentido del humor (como todos los gaditanos).  Más tarde te fuiste a Canadá y aunque siempre intentamos ir a verte, las obligaciones familiares nos lo impidieron… pero lo seguimos teniendo pendiente y espero poder visitar a tu familia algún día. Siempre en nuestros corazones. ❤️

No puedo dejar de pensar en el día de la boda de tu hermana y en este caso mi prima!! Nos pasamos el día juntos poniéndonos al día de todas las batallitas, por fin pude conocer a tu mujer y a tu maravillosa hija. Pero lo q no se me olvida de se dia es que después de pasar dos quimios y estabas volviendo a recuperarte en lo único que te preocupaba es q yo que estaba pasando un momento regular, no pararas  de animarme y de asegurarme que  todo iba a salir bien. Yo solo podía decirme  en voz baja que no tenía derecho a protestar ni quejarme ya que si lo comparaba contigo primo lo mío no era nada. Hasta q descubrí que no podía ser de otra manera, ya que una persona con esa bondad y manera de entender la vida, con esas ganas de vivir era la única persona q tenía todo el derecho de explicarme y ayudarme a entender cómo tenía que hacer. Porque solo una persona con ese corazón se olvida de sus problemas para cuidar de los de tu primo. Gracias por todos los momentos que me has regalado juntos en Cádiz, en Londres, en Torrevieja cuando nos mandaban a dormir al barco podrías no quedaban más camas en casa de la abuela.  que buenos tiempos primo; y sobre todo no solo tenía la suerte de ser tu primo también mi amigo y mi confidente, todavía estoy buscando billete para ir a Vancouver, se me ha hecho un poquito tarde de más, pero yo prometí ir a verte y ese viaje lo hago. Gracias primo, gracias hermano, gracias amigo. Te quiero.

Manolo y yo fuimos compañeros de clase durante los años de preescolar y EGB, desde los 4 a los 14 años. Ambos teníamos el mismo tipo de ordenador (Amstrad) e intercambiamos muchos juegos. Yo no sabía cómo grabar juegos en disquetes y él me ayudaba haciendo las copias. Era un gran compañero.
Cuando se fue al instituto seguimos quedando pero nos perdimos la pista.

Manual was a great hearted person loved by his surrounded for sure he will be missed

Mi querido Manuel was a soul who embraced life’s quiet beauty. Nature was his peace, literature his boundless world, and deep conversation his true gift. He filled our lives with meaning, always leaving us with a new book, a dream of adventure, or a fresh perspective. In his presence, we felt seen, understood, and inspired. Manuel’s spirit will forever live on in every tree’s shade, every cherished story, and every heartfelt conversation we share in his memory.

Vuela alto, amigo.

It is difficult to summarize in a few words a person as extraordinary as Manuel...but I think it can be summarized in a human being with as much light as the sunny afternoons on the beach that I shared with him. Someone who, more than a friend, was a brother, always generous with everyone. Thank you for being as you were Manuel.

I’ll never forget the first time I met Manuel — Samia spotted him from across the room at the German club, and let’s just say she wasted no time. She had that look in her eye, and sure enough, that was the beginning of a beautiful love story. The rest, as they say, was history, and we all got to share in the joy and love they built together.

Manuel, you brought so much light to our lives. I can see your smile now, and I know we’ll carry your spirit with us in every dance. You were truly one of a kind, and I’m so lucky to have known you.

Looking through these photos brings back so many beautiful memories of Manuel, and it’s hard to believe he’s no longer with us.  I’ll never forget those nights with Samia when we’d dance Bachata in my tiny apartment, packed like sardines but feeling like we were in salsa club in Spain. And the lasagna! I swear, I should’ve gotten a medal for that damn lasagna—and Manuel loved it so much. 

We’d get lost in the music, share crazy stories (mostly Sam and me), and end up sitting on my front lawn, sipping wine and people-watching the crazies until the sun went down. There was something so special about those moments — just living in the present, enjoying life and each other’s great company. He was always so grounded, yet his thirst for travel and life was unquenchable. He had a way of making everyone feel accepted, no matter who they were, and always approached life with such a positive energy even in the most difficult times. You'll always be in my heart.

We went on this 8-hour long hike a few years ago with our friends who were visiting from out of town. To this day they ask about you. You left an impression because you always engaged in meaningful conversation with people around you. I’m glad we have that memory of discovering a new place together. We will miss you.
