Born April 18, 1935 in Kalamata, Greece. Passed away peacefully on October 16, 2012 in Vancouver, B.C. She will be sadly missed by her loving family: sisters Alexandra (Mike), Toula (Terry), Tasia (Constantinos), Eleni (Nick). Brother Niko (Yota). Predeceased by sister Irene. Maria will also be missed by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at St. George's Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 4500 Arbutus Street, Vancouver where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 24 at 11:00 a.m. Father Dimitrios Partsafas officiating. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Burnaby. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hellenic Community of Vancouver would be appreciated.
