Mario Laurin passed away unexpectedly from a cardiac arrest while cycling, an activity he loved. He is survived by his devoted wife Wendy; his loving children Isaac, Jeremy and Loretta; his loving mother Francoise; and all of his family and friends. He had a brilliant mind and an enormous heart. Drawing on his dignity, fortitude and grace, he became a great son, husband, and father. He was an accomplished engineer, and a role model for us all. He had great care and a subtle passion for many things - including the pursuit of knowledge, spirituality, science fiction, health and the environment, building his home and family, and much more. He was a good and dedicated Catholic. If desired, a donation to an environmental charity of your choice would be much appreciated.
To respect his wishes for simplicity and privacy, an immediate family only service and burial was arranged in early October. His body now lays to rest in Forest Lawn Cemetary. A Celebration of Life will be held on Januaray 11th, 2014 for all his loved ones to gather and remember the beautiful legacy Mario left on this planet.
