

She is survived by her daughter Alana (Levi) and sons Arthur (Leanne) and Jesse, grandchildren Austin, Jordie, Trinity, Shaylie, Leah, Katie, Kierra, Arthur, Daisy, Fury & Everly, sisters Freida Melting Tallow, Philomena (Rusty) Schindler & Charlene (Radford) Brewer & Jeannette Vielle and Brother Floyd (Sharon) Melting Tallow & brother in law Joe Wiley, special brothers and sisters, Seraphine Black, Lambert Eagle Tail Feathers, Justine (Bill) Cross Child, Sylvia Eagle Child, Jean (Don) Barker, James (Cloudie) Eagle Child, Gloria Eagle Child, Glen Eagle Child, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins too numerous to list.
Melinda was predeceased by her youngest daughter Christina and the love of her life Arthur Lakis. Melinda will be reunited with her parents Frank & Josephine Melting Tallow, her foster parents Gordon & Christine Spear Chief, sisters Vera, Frankina & Francine Melting Tallow, brothers Guy & Francis Red Crane, Timothy Brown Weasel , Ed & Calvin Vielle and niece Jolene Melting Tallow as well friends.
Melinda was a kind and extremely generous lady. She was a very loving and caring mother and grandmother. She was always ensuring that her children and grandchildren were spoiled with her love and attention. She was always finding gifts to shower them with, her grandchildren always enjoyed receiving very unique gifts from her. Melinda had a great sense of humour and enjoyed sharing laughs. She always ensured the people she loved made themselves at home in her presence. Melinda loved spending time and sharing stories with family and friends. She had a fiercely silly and adventurous soul.
Melinda came from a very large family and loved all her siblings immensely. She loved spending time with each of them and cherished her memories of their time together. She had a strong cultural upbringing and had a deep respect for sacred ceremonies and pow wows.
Melinda has many friends that will miss her, but her closest friend Debbie will deeply miss her. They were very close and cared dearly for each other’s family. They shared a friendship no one can replace. Melinda cherished all her friendships and the memories that were made.
Melinda will be dearly missed by all that loved her.
