On April 9th 2021 one day before Michael Hoepfner's 60th birthday, Michael passed away.
In a short time, Michael Hoepfner and I became great friends.
Micheal shared his childhood experiences, family life, growing up, and travel. I am fortunate to know his father Hans Hoepfner and continue a family relationship with Hans, and my aunt Sally Hoepfner.
We shared our experiences of cooking professionally. We spent many hours sharing techniques, along with stories of good and not so good days in the kitchen.
It was then, I was informed of how much pain he endured during his cooking career, of needing medical treatment without missing a shift.
Again so happy to have developed a strong friendship.
I have been fortunate to meet some of Michael's closest friends, in return creating more friendships, bringing me more great memories.
l learned how Michael's talents, to be soft spoken. His amazing artist abilities, that will bring endless hours of satisfaction to people who view his work.
Michael's ability to live with limited needs. To be kind to those around you.
Michael is and was a beautiful person, and I am a better person for knowing Michael Hoepfner.
R.I.P. Michael Hoepfner
