She was one of ten children by Fernande Beaudoin and Herve Bergeron.
She spent her formative years in Quebec, specifically Joly, Beauport, and Montreal, and later moved to British Columbia. She married Stephen Aderneck and had one child. She lived on Quadra Island and in Campbell River, and later in Nanaimo and Vancouver.
She was genuine, caring, giving, and content with what she had. In her earlier years she enjoyed traveling and flying on small airplanes on the coast, and her later years reading, painting by number, jigsaw puzzles, and long walks. She helped take great care of her two grandchildren from when they were born until their late teens.
She died unexpectedly of natural causes at her home in Vancouver on March 19, 2024, at the age of 81. It was the first day of spring; a reminder that she liked tree blossoms and fresh flowers.
She is survived by seven of her siblings, and by her son Eric Aderneck, daughter-in-law Shelley Chen, and grandchildren, Alexander and Isabel.
She will be dearly missed. Elle va nous manquer.
She will be interred at the Mountain View Cemetery, within walking distance of her last home, and some of her ashes will be scattered in the quiet places that she enjoyed.
"Don’t dwell on what has passed away or what is yet to be."
