Moy Ching Quan 黃梅貞

Moy Ching Quan, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully on Sunday February 22, 2026 at Vancouver General Hospital. She was 95 years old. She is survived by her husband Fui Lang Quan, son David Quan, daughter Finnie Quan, son-in-law Dennis Tham, and only grandson Daniel Tham. Moy Ching was born on December 8, 1930 in China. She immigrated to Canada in 1970 and worked in a poultry factory before retirement.

Moy Ching will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and strength. She spent most of her life taking care of other people. She was a mother to many children before she gave birth to her own. Moy Ching had to face many challenges and hardships following her marriage to Fui Lang Quan in China. As a result of her life experiences, she became a stronger and more determined individual.

Moy Ching loved to cook for her family and friends. She felt very happy when everyone enjoyed her food. Moy Ching also liked to play Mahjong every week with her close buddies.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 13, 11:00 am at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home, followed by a burial ceremony at 1:00 pm at Forest Lawn. A reception will be held at Fortune City Restaurant at 3:00 pm. We look forward to seeing all of you on her day of remembrance!
