My mother-in-law was a fabulous cook. From simple Greek french fries to roast lamb to her specialty cookies, she was happy to share her expertise. One special memory I hold dear, occurred when my mother was alive and visiting from Alberta. She and Neki spent the afternoon and evening together baking dozens of Kourabiedes and Melomakarono. Although we tried, no one could capture her recipes exactly with her measurements of a "bit of" something or stir the mixture until it "feels" like this. Luckily, all my children have her french fries and fried eggs in their repertoire. They will never starve. Thanks mom.
