Nickolas Cantas, 83, peacefully passed away on December 4th, 2023.
Born on February 10th, 1940 in Megara, Greece.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Irene, and his two sons, Hector and wife Vivian and Jason and wife Catherine and extended family and friends.
Nickolas found great joy in his role as a grandfather and was adored by his grandchildren: Niko, Anastasia, Sebastian, and Phoenix. He will be remembered for his kindness, love, sociable nature, story telling about his grand adventures of camping, hunting, fishing and his fondness for sharing jokes that brightened the lives of those around him. Nickolas always looked forward to his visits to Greece where he was treasured by his extended family and friends where he would enjoy the sun and food of his home country.
Nickolas supported his family through a 50 year career as a Power Engineer where he brought his expertise and passion to his work, leaving an enduring impact on the field as a leader and a mentor to others.
A memorial service to celebrate Nickolas Cantas's life will be held at St. George’s Greek Community Center on December 12 at 2:30 PM at the upstairs hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Parkinson's Society of BC in Nickolas's memory.
His spirit, stories and love will forever be cherished and never forgotten.
Nickolas, Niko, Dad, Papou, we will miss you with all our hearts.
