Forever remembered, forever loved.

Today we remember three beloved souls — a father whose integrity shaped us, a mother whose tenderness still guides us, and a brother whose laughter lingers like sunlight after rain. Though they have journeyed beyond this world, their love endures in every breath of memory and every act of kindness we carry forward.

Their spirits live in the beauty around us — in the clover that covers sacred ground, in the quiet strength that steadies our hearts, and in the peace that surpasses understanding.

Μαμά μου γλυκιά,

Σήμερα, καθώς ανάβω ένα κερί στους ιερούς ναούς της Μυκόνου, η σκέψη μου είναι μαζί σου — με την αγνή σου ψυχή, τη μεγάλη σου καρδιά, και την άπειρη σου αγάπη που ακόμα με καθοδηγεί.

Ήσουν το φως της ζωής μας. Με πίστη, θυσία, και αξιοπρέπεια, μας έδειξες τι σημαίνει να ζει κανείς με φιλότιμο, με ελπίδα, με αγάπη. Η απουσία σου είναι βαθιά, αλλά η παρουσία σου αισθητή σε κάθε πράξη καλοσύνης, σε κάθε ψίθυρο προσευχής, σε κάθε αχτίδα φωτός.

Σε τιμούμε σήμερα με δάκρυα, αλλά και με ευγνωμοσύνη. Είμαστε ευλογημένοι που σε είχαμε. Η ψυχή σου ας βρει ανάπαυση στον Κύριο. Και η μνήμη σου ας είναι αιώνια — γιατί ζεις μέσα μας, κάθε μέρα, κάθε στιγμή.

Today marks another year since you left this world, Mom — and not a day goes by that your presence isn’t felt in the quiet corners of our hearts.

You were the heart of our family — strong, kind, wise, and full of grace. You taught us the meaning of compassion, dignity, and faith, not just in your words, but through the life you lived. Your love was a light that guided us, and that light continues to shine in all we do.

On this day of remembrance, I lit a candle in the churches of Mykonos, sending up prayers wrapped in love and longing. The flame flickers with memory, hope, and the eternal bond we share — one that not even death can break.

We miss your laughter, your warm meals, your stories, your prayers, and your gentle touch. But most of all, we miss you. Thank you for everything, Mom. I carry you in my heart every single day.

May your soul rest in eternal peace.
May your memory be eternal.

Niki Bordokas was a dedicated human rights activist who left an indelible mark on the lives of those around her. Her unwavering commitment to justice and her tireless efforts to promote human rights have inspired countless individuals. Through her Activism, she demonstrated the importance of standing up for what is right and fighting against injustice. Her legacy continues to inspire and motivate others to carry on her work in the pursuit of a more equitable and just society.

"June 13, we mark four years since the passing of my beloved mother, Niki Bordokas. As the years go by, the ache of her absence remains, but it is tempered by the countless memories we shared and the lessons she taught me. Her unwavering kindness, generosity, and commitment to justice continue to inspire me.

Niki's love was a guiding force in my life, and her absence has left a void that can never be filled. Yet, I find solace in the knowledge that her spirit lives on through the countless lives she touched and the values she instilled in me. I will continue to celebrate her life and honor her memory by living the values she taught me.

Niki was a good mother, friend, and human rights activist. She was kind, honest, and always stood up for what was right. She will be remembered for her compassion and her commitment to making the world a better place. #RIPNiki



You were a good mother, friend, and citizen
You always cared for others' needs
You were always available, a shoulder to cry on
Or just someone to talk to with ease

You were very kind and emulated Jesus
You always did the right thing and kept yourself pure
You were always honest and stood for human rights
And justice was your passion and your lure

You would not hesitate to share or even give up
Your only meal or your last few cents
You wanted to ease others' suffering and pain
And show them God's love and his presence

You are now in heaven with him, rejoicing and praising
You are now free from all sorrow and strife
You are now enjoying the rewards of your faithfulness
And the crown of life

Niki was a good mother, friend, and citizen. When someone needed her ... She was always available, a shoulder to cry on or just someone to talk to. She was very kind and emulated Jesus' kindness towards others, as she always ensured that she was doing the right thing and keeping herself of good moral, and ethical standards, was always honest, and stood for human rights, and justice. Niki would not hesitate to share, even give up her only meal, or even her last few cents for others welfare, and to ease their human suffering.

Niki was wonderful person who touched many lives with her generosity, compassion and faith.  

Lord, I thank you for the life of Niki Bordokas, who was a blessing to me and many others. I thank you for the memories we shared, the lessons she taught me, and the love she showed me. I thank you for her faith in you, her kindness to others, and her legacy of goodness. I pray that you would welcome her into your presence, where there is fullness of joy and no more pain or sorrow.

Lord, I pray that you would help me to cope with this loss and to find strength in you. I pray that you would surround me with your presence and comfort me with your promises. I pray that you would give me hope for the future and gratitude for the past. I pray that you would use this experience to draw me closer to you and to make me more like you.

Lord, I ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, your Son and our Savior. Amen.
