He is predeceased by his parents Ernest & Ruth Sorensen and survived by his children Stephanie & Bryan, granddaughter Sophia, sister Linda(Douglas), Nephew Scott (Sally Chen) and the Reid clan on the Sunshine Coast.
Born and raised in the Lower Mainland, Paul was active as a Scout, a top pick in baseball leagues due to his size & wicked arm, an accomplished piano player and an excellent trombonist. He participated in the school band as well as the Killarney Jr. Band, where winter concerts and marching in numerous parades in the summer were a big part of his life.
Paul was a voracious reader, he always seemed to have a book under his nose. He was told he had a very high IQ and seemed to know a little something about everything which made him a wonderful conversationalist & interesting to talk to.
Corporal P.A. Sorensen, 409 Sqn, CFB Comox, served from 1979 - 1986. He was an active member of the Legion for many years and he claimed the highlight of his military career was flying a fighter jet.
Heartfelt thanks are extended to The Last Post Fund who provided a dignified funeral to our Canadian Veteran on March 16, 2021 at Surrey Center Cemetery. Please consider a donation to support their cause.
