It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our father. Phil passed peacefully surrounded by the love of his family and friends at Vancouver General Hospital. He is survived by his son Max (Rhonda), daughter Josephine ‘Jo Jo’ (George); grandchildren Kirsten, Jordan and Gavin; and dear friend Syexwaliya/Ann Whonnock. He will be deeply missed by his brothers Reuben, (Lily) and George; sisters Emma and Donna and many loving relatives and dear friends.
Phil is fondly remembered for his great sense of humour and fun and loving nature. He was always kind to all he met and a very giving human being. Phil had the gift of creativity and ability to make silver and gold shine beauty in traditional native jewelry. A service will be held at Chief Joe Mathias Centre on Tuesday February 12, 2013 at 11:00 am; a funeral service will also be held at Lawrence Ambers Recreation Centre on Thursday February 14, 2013 at 11:00 am.
