Ralph Angelo Vigna, 71, Vancouver, BC, passed away peacefully at home on December 22, 2011 after a lengthy illness.
Born to the late Aurelio and Theresa Vigna on November 19,1940, in Blairmore, Alberta, Ralph graduated from the Crowsnest Pass High School. He received his BEd from the University of Alberta, MEd from the University of Calgary, and EdD from the University of Houston. He married Annie Wesko in 1964. Married for 37 years, they raised four sons in Calgary. In 2005, Ralph relocated to Vancouver and married Daniel Sarunic in April, 2011.
He is survived by his spouse Daniel Sarunic; sons John (Nancy); Mark; Peter (Judy); their mother, Annie; and grandchildren, Renee, Isabella and Natalia. He is predeceased by his son, Paul.
Family will gather for a private inurnment and memorial mass in the Crowsnest Pass. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Ralph’s memory to the BC Cancer Agency.
