Obituary of Raymond Ho Ching Chu
On Wednesday, July 27, 2022, Raymond Ho Ching Chu passed away at the age of 83. Raymond was born in Shanghai, China on December 14, 1939. At the age of 20, he moved to Hong Kong with his parents, and later worked in the finance department in a tobacco company. In July 1972, he moved to Canada. During those years he opened a successful clothing boutique in downtown Vancouver. About 11 years ago he met Brenda and they were together as a couple since then. Over the years, Raymond and Brenda often enjoyed being “tourists” in their own city visiting the various tourist attractions in the Lower Mainland such as Stanley Park. And several times a week they would enjoy dim sum. Raymond also enjoyed engaging in conversations with his friends over coffee. And from his days watching horse racing in Hong Kong he continued that tradition in Vancouver. He would often be found at “The Tracks” at the PNE cheering on the horse and rider on whom he placed his bet. Raymond is survived by the love of his life, Brenda. No service will be held.
