In Vietnam: Reno went to Vietnamese public school NGUYEN HUE from grade 1 - 5, and went to ASIA Private High School from grade 6 - 9.
In Vancouver: Reno came to Vancouver on August 21st, 2008 for his new life in foreign country. He was accepted to Templeton Secondary High School, and started his first year with grade 9.
Just like every new students here in Vancouver, first couple months of the new life was rough for Reno, but he overcame it. He started to feel like having fun in school, making more friends, going out more often, and being very socialized. He was never afraid of trying out new things. He was really creative, skillful in Arts & Design. He was a cute, energetic, nice, kind boy; but more importantly he was always thoughtful to others. He loved to become a gentlemen that everyone would love. Of course, he WAS and still IS in our heart.
I remember just last weekend we went out shopping, he picked up some shirts to try out, and asked for my opinion. When i saw how he dressed, i joked "why you love button up your shirt up so high, so out-dated Reno! Doesn't look cool and not like your style!" He laughed and said "...cause like this i look more like gentlemen...Isn't this how gentlemen should dress?" and then i just said "you silly!" and we laughed together. That day we had much fun talk and jokes. He mentioned how he was happy and couldn't wait to take his graduation photo with his classmates, and said "it's so fun". Then i said to him "Reno, you can grad with everyone, but if you don't study hard, you will have to spend another year at Adult school to catch up in English..". He replied with a worry face "yaa, i know...i am trying hard" and then i joked "Ah i guess you can answer them like this if anyone asks whether you go to University or College..." mimicking his voice i continued:
"Hah, i ain't going to College..." then friends must think your are going to Uni, "Uni then?"
"Noooo, i am not even going to Uni" then your friends must think you are in more advance level "then where?"
"Will be an Adult school!!! cool eh?!"
He laughed so hard after hearing my little joke. He said "Don't worry, i won't go to Adult school, i can do it! but i really like your joke, i think i am gonna put it up on facebook when we get home".
"won't it be embarrassing?"
"noo it's funny though i won't go to Adult school i just wanna put it on facebook just for fun"
"no you shouldn't unless it's really going to happen then you post it on"
"oh ok... haha alright i will remember this joke!"
"no you won't"
"YAaaaaa i will!"
and then we laughed hard and ran home.
My story here is just to prove how silly he is sometimes but in very optimistic way.
To all Reno's beloved family, relatives and dearest friends, Reno had always thought about you all, and from the bottom from his heart, he must love, and thank you for all your kindness and your love for him. He would never regret coming here to study and getting to know you. You all were and ARE still great support to him.
Reno was the best Son and brother EVER to his parents and siblings.
Thank you for everything,
