Mr. Richard Gerard O'Neill was born on January 12, 1957 in St. John, New Brunswick, and passed away on April 6, 2021 in Vancouver, British Columbia at the age of 64 years. "It is with heavy hearts that the family of Richard Gerard O'Neill, son of the late Richard and Ethel O'Neill announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, April 6, in Vancouver, British Columbia. Richard was born on January 12, 1957 in St John, New Brunswick.

Richard worked for many hears at St. Vincent's Hospital in Vancouver. He cherished his family and friends and will be remembered as a caring person who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved camping, playing cards, dancing, and spending time in nature. Richard was a kindred spirit with a kind and gentle heart. His favourite saying was, "never take a wooden nickel"

He is survived by three brothers, Patrick, Brian and Sean; six sisters, Sandra, Peggy, Mary, Kathy , Ethel and Martina; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Sean Peter.

A private family interment will take place at Saint Joseph's cemetery at a later date. Condolences may be shared below.
