He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sally, and his sister Sheila of Scotland, as well as numerous other relatives and friends both here and in the United Kingdom.
Ron was born in the village of Rhynie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland on December 19th, 1924. He came to Saskatchewan in 1952 and eventually moved to British Columbia.
He was an accomplished stonemason and has left many monuments in Canada in various provinces. To name a few he worked on the university of Saskatchewan medical building and then also built a great part of the sea wall in Stanley Park, finishing it from Siwash Rock right to the Lions Gate Bridge. Other projects were at Whistler Village , Manning Park, and a countless number of stone walls and fireplaces.
Ron and Sally travelled to many places, but were always drawn back to Ron’s beloved village of Rhynie, Scotland.
We take comfort that Ron is now in Gods loving arms, and we will meet again.
RIP
A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at a later date.
