Sheila Joyce Blake

Died December 30, 2020 in Vancouver at the Cottage Hospice, Age 85

Predeceased by her parents, she is survived and greatly missed by her loving husband Robert (Bob) Blake, and his extended family, Peggy Hartman, Simone Blake, Paul and Diane Blake, and their children and grandchildren.

Sheila Elwin was born in Norwich, UK. She immigrated to Canada in 1959, and after stops in Toronto and Calgary she moved to Vancouver in 1973. There she met Bob when they both served on their Strata Council, and they were married in Las Vegas in 1983.

She worked various secretarial jobs, frequently in advertising and media.

Among Sheila’s interests were golf, which she played for many years and followed until the end, and bowling. She and Bob spent much happy time travelling, with favourite destinations Mexico (as winter-long snowbirds), Hawaii, and Las Vegas, together with many cruises to various spots around the world.
