Shiu Ling Chan

方陳少玲姊妹於1933年在中國廣東省汕頭市出生，家中共有姊弟妹共11人；她排行第三。方師母自幼在基督教家庭成長，從小就緊隨父母參加教會經常聚會，蒙恩得救成為一位愛主的基督徒。

1958年經長輩介紹，由汕頭到香港與方壯盛先生結婚，婚後育有兩女一子。方師母除了身體不適之外，聚會從不間斷。雖然丈夫忙於生意，不經常參加聚會，但她仍堅持把三個孩子從他們出生後，就一直帶到教會中參加各項聚會。

每天早晨，方師母堅持讀經，早晚跪在床前為了家人，弟兄姊妹及未信主的親友逼切禱告。

90年代隨女兒一家移民到溫哥華。方師母為了丈夫真正得救，逼切禱告了40年，最後方先生清楚得救，真正接受基督作他的救主，也完成了她一生為丈夫禱告的心願。方先生在2000年安返天家。

2017年方師母經歷兩次大手術，蒙主保守，康復出院。

2025年2月因腹痛、嘔吐再度入院，經歷多次手術，住院一個多月，於3月14日傍晚，息了地上勞苦，安息主懷。

方師母一生愛主，順服丈夫，愛家庭，悉心照顧兒女，在主恩典中，方師母在兒女和衆聖徒面前成為美好的榜樣，她真是一位才德婦人的見證。

Fong Chan Shiu Ling was born in 1933 in Shan Tou, China. She is the 3rd child born into a family of 11 children. Sister Fong grew up in a Christian family, attending church from a young age, and came to know the Lord as her personal saviour.

In 1958, through the introduction from relatives, she traveled to Hong Kong to marry Mr. Fong Chong Shing. After marriage, she had two daughters and one son. Sister Fong never stopped going to church and would only miss a meeting if she was feeling unwell. Although her husband was busy with work and did not attend church often, she persisted in bringing her children to church weekly.

Every morning, Sister Fong would read the bible and kneel beside her bed to pray for her family, brothers and sisters, and also gospel friends.

In the 90’s, she followed her eldest daughter and immigrated to Canada. Sister Fong prayed unceasingly for the salvation of her husband for 40 years. Finally, he accepted the Lord as his personal saviour; her prayers were answered and her wish fulfilled. Her husband went to be with the Lord in 2000.

Sister Fong went through two major operations in 2017. By the grace and protection of the Lord, she was able to be recover and return home.

In February 2025, due to vomiting and stomach pains, she was admitted to the hospital. On March 14, after numerous surgeries and staying in the hospital for over a month, she ceased from the labour and suffering on the earth and rested in the Lord.

Sister Fong loved the Lord all her life. She was submissive to her husband, loved her family and took wonderful care of her children. In His grace, sister Fong was able to be a beautiful example for her children and brothers and sisters. She is truly a testament of a virtuous wife.
