Tsan Hsuan Chou 周灿旋

It is with great sadness that the Chou family announce the passing of their beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather, Tsan Hsuan Chou of Vancouver, B.C. He was born on August 30, 1948 in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China and passed away peacefully in Vancouver, British Columbia on October 25, 2022 at the age of 74. Our heartfelt condolences are extended to the Chou family at this time.

Tsan Hsuan Chou was predeceased by his parents and is survived by the love of his life Chiu Lien Chou. He and his wife, Chiu Lien, were very proud of their four children and their spouses: Yen Fen (Yvonne) Chou, Jui Fen (Susan) Chou, King Fung (Ian) Chou and his wife Tomoko Kitano-Chou, King Ying (Alan) Chou and his wife Diane Santos-Chou. He is adored by his five grandchildren: Devyn Chou, Chayce Chou, Aiden Chou, Connor Lau and Adam Chou, as well as other family members, many colleagues, and friends from the associations he was involved with over the years.

Tsan Hsuan was a proud member and worked over 30 years with Mackenzie Saw Mills. He was the 1st Vice-President of Yue Shan Society in 2016 and a proud board member of the Oi-Quang Society. He mentored and trained students in the art of Kung Fu. He also led and directed Lion dances for many events. He was proud to climb to the top of The Great Wall of China in 1997.

Tsan Hsuan loved spending time with his family, and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

A viewing will be held for family members on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Glenhaven Memorial Chapel (1835 E. Hastings Street, Vancouver, B.C.).

Funeral Service will be held at Glenhaven Memorial Chapel on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 12:00 pm.

Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park (3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, B.C.) at 2:00 pm.

Reception will be held at Fortune City Seafood Restaurant at 4:30 pm, located at 2800 E. 1st Avenue, Vancouver, B.C.
