it is with great sadness we announce the passing of Vivian Barbara Kelly. Vivian was born to Late Joseph Kelly and Colleen Lewis in North Vancouver on April 14, 1959 and died surrounded by love of family and friends at Lions Gate Hospital on January 26, 2016. Vivian descended from the Cole / Baker (Squamish Nation) and Kopp / Kelly (Lequamel Nation) families.
She is survived by and will be dearly missed by her loving mother Colleen Lewis (nee Baker); daughter Candace (Trevor); sons Joseph (Loni), Anthony; Kyle (Jodi) and Darrell (Leanne); Grandchildren Emily, Trevor, Isabella and Adam. She is also survived by her brothers Marvin Baker & Robert 'Bosco' Kelly (Noreen); and life-long friend and father to her children Anthony J. Yelton.
Vivian was fondly known as 'Killer' or 'Saucy Goose', she grew up on Mission IR No. 1, North Vancouver and had developed many friendships over the years. She pulled race canoes with the St. Theresa Canoe Club, played basketball with The Selects, and baseball with the Skyliners. She was known in our community as a great support to families, children and sporting clubs. Vivian was the "No. 1 Fan" for the NS Indians Lacrosse Teams - both box and field lacrosse teams.
A prayer service will be held on January 31, 2016 (Sunday) at St. Paul's Indian Catholic Church , 426 West Esplanade Street, North Vancouver, BC At 7:00 pm.
