Bill Milner was our insurance broker at PLEA Community Services from the mid-1980's until his retirement. He understood the non-profit sector and our work with kids, and he ensured that we had the coverage we needed, even when it was sometimes difficult to obtain. His advice was practical and helpful. More than anything, Bill's approach to business was all about relationships. He would come to see us every year, ask about our programs, the kids we worked with, our staff. Only then would we turn our minds to the business at hand. As a "newbie" executive director in those days, I valued Bill's help and counsel. He was a real pro, and a fine man.
