Yee Har Yau

(1924 - 2017)

一九二四年農曆十月十七日生於香港小康之家，祖籍廣東新會人，家住銅鑼灣近電車總站，即現今時代廣場，一九四三年與先父郭永光結婚，經大戰洗禮，重返香港生活，婚後相夫教子，育有七子一女，堪稱七星伴月，至今兒孫曾孫滿堂，秉承一代慈母典範。

一九五零年在香港聖安多尼堂接受領洗及堅振，聖人名瑪加利大，並成為一位虔誠天主教徒，曾任香港北角聖猶達堂聖母軍多年，三十多年投入教會聖事，她一生喜愛旅遊，足遍中亞，澳洲、美洲及歐洲等地，並曾前往耶路撒冷朝聖及多次乘郵輪經加肋比海往中美洲。

一九九五年由二哥英麒申請來加拿大定居，多年來與女兒女婿同住溫哥華，得到二哥、二嫂、妹妹、妹夫及他們的家人照顧，愛護有加，媽得以安享晚年，過著豐盛人生日子，及後轉住 The Cedars雪松苑老人院至今年四月中因腎功能退化入院，當時情況非常嚴重，得上主眷顧，好轉後重返老人院大家庭。這幾個月內有賴各兒、媳、孫、曾孫分別從香港及多倫多前來探訪，大家一起共聚天倫，完成她最後開心愉快的人生旅程，並得已延續其生命至今年十月七日早上，因身體機能退化於本拿比醫院去世。

In Loving Memory of Kwok Yau Yee Har "Margarita"

October 17, 1924 - October 7, 2017

In loving memory of mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Yau Yee Har, Margarita; wife of late Kwok Wing Kwong. She lived through poverty in war era China, became a devout Catholic, and had a fulfilling life with her husband and family in Hong Kong. She raised 7 sons and 1 daughter, and was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. In 1995, she immigrated to Canada to join the families of her daughter Rose (Kwok) Pau and late son Louis Kwok in Vancouver, BC. During these years she was very energetic and sharp of mind, spending many happy days with family and often travelled with Rose and her family. When her health began to fail in recent years, she remained positive and held on to her life-long faith in God.

In recent months, many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren travelled from Hong Kong and Toronto to visit, giving her much joy in her final days. She passed away peacefully on Oct 7, 2017 at Burnaby Hospital, surrounded by family. Yau Yee Har was 93 years old.

She will be dearly missed by family. May she rest in peace.

Yee Har Yau, passed away October 7, 2017 at the age of 92 years. A Funeral service for family and friends will be held at St. Francis Xavier, 438 Great Northern Way, Vancouver, BC on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 9:45 am. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, BC. Arrangements entrusted to Glenhaven Memorial Chapel, Vancouver, BC. 604.255.5444.
