Mrs. Doris J. Beers Firestone

Doris was born in San Francisco, CA to David and Anna (Holzhauer) Beers on March 22, 1929. She was raised and educated in Nyssa, OR. She attended Oregon State for two years studying business. Doris married Merril Firestone on June 21, 1950. She was a homemaker and mother who was very dedicated to her family.

Doris enjoyed quilting, sewing, crafts, tennis, singing in the church choir, and travel. She was a long time member of the First United Methodist church in Vancouver.

Survivors include her husband Merril, at home, three sons, Clark and Mark Firestone of Dayton, OR, and Kent Firestone of Ridgefield, WA. 7 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will begin at 11:00am on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the First United Methodist church in Vancouver. Interment will be private at Park Hill Cemetery.
