I met Ed shortly before his passing. Ed and I were introduced by an angel at the Sunnyside Kaiser Hospital. One day as they were preparing me for “check out” I was telling a fella in “short stay” about what I had experienced only days before, you see I suffered a massive heart attack and died for a couple of hours. Well during this time I was out of my body watching, as I was being worked on by Kaiser's “Cardio Crash Team”, I visited Heaven. Yes it is a REAL place, anyway after telling my story to this young man this nurse/angel asked me if I'd share my story with a gentleman across the hall. She told me that he would really love to hear what I had to say about what I experienced. Well in the meantime this nurse/angel told Ed that “there's a man across the hall that could really use some words of encouragement”. So she helped me as I walked across the hall and introduced myself, we begin talking, and it didn't take long before we both knew that this meeting was set up by God himself. Well that day has forever changed my life! What an amazing man, family and circle of friends. Ed‘s family and friends welcomed me into their life's. Ed - I know that you are finally experiencing all the promises of God! I wanted to say thank you to you, your family, all the tender words of healing often repeat themselves in my head and heart!
Ed,
Because of your Love for God your Legacy lives on through the works you did here on earth. You are truly blessed to have been such a well-used instrument of God! Save me some pasta! I will see you in Gods time!

I have known Ed most of my life. I will miss him greatly. From a young girl to adulthood. He helped me pick out names for my boy's. he showed me how to cook. I learned so much from him. He loved teaching. We had many vacations together. I will miss him so much. He loved talking about his kids. He was so proud of them. And grand kids. I will be there for Roxine, as she is going thru this sad time. I will have the pictures I had taken at Ed's son's house, Ed jr. On a cd so family can have it. I will give it to Roxine so you can get it. I miss and love him so much. My prayers go out to Roxine and family.

I have known Ed for about 25 years. I had learned so much from him. Our cooking together to picking out names for my boy's. many trips we have had, and laughter. He was so funny. When he started to laugh you could not help but laugh with him. We will always remember him. My heart goes out to the family. I took some pictures of the family a year ago that I will be giving Roxine and family.

Dr. Ariniello was truly one of a kind and I am deeply sorry to hear of his passing. Working with him (around him) at Kaiser are some of my fondest memories of my time there, he taught me a lot and not just about surgery. He was so consistent right down to his blue shirts and ever present cowboy boots. He had a great sense of humor and a seemingly endless list of recipes that he would share from memory. He loved his family and I enjoyed hearing his stories. It was special that my son Christian and his granddaughter Sophia were in preschool together. I am sorry that we lost contact when my family moved out of the area and I am so sorry that I missed his memorial service, I would have really liked to have been there. I would like to thank the family for sharing all of these wonderful pictures and again express my condolences, I am grateful to have known him.
