Glen O. Sumner, 95, passed away on Jan. 6, 2013. He was born in South Dakota on April 22, 1917.
Glen served in the 5th Air Force in South Pacific.
On Oct. 22, 1944, he married Gertrude Negri in Cairns. Nth Queensland, Australia and later moved to Vancouver in 1945 where he resided until his death.
Glen worked for Crown Zellerbach for 27 years.
He enjoyed horseback riding, scuba diving and camping.
Glen is survived by his wife of 68 years, Gertrude; sons, Peter and Gregory; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Glenda.
A graveside service will be held Fri., Jan. 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Park Hill Cemetery.
