

Glenn Joel Halme was born April 2, 1925 in Casper Wyoming and passed away on June 27, 2016 in Yacolt, Washington at 91 years of age. Glenn, with his wife Clara, resided in Yacolt Washington for the past 27 years. Glenn’s childhood home was Vancouver Washington. He was a lifelong member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church.
Glenn worked all his life in the forest products industry, lastly retiring from APA The Engineered Wood Association in 1987. He had served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II. Glenn loved the outdoors and would often marvel at God’s creation.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 68 years, Clara (Lindberg) at home in Yacolt, nine children; Linda (Arnold) Hervi and David (Genevieve) Halme of Battle Ground Washington, Peggy (Kenneth) Koskiniemi of Dallas Texas, Joy Halme of Battle Ground, Steven (Lillian) Halme of Davenport Washington, Timothy (Michelle) Halme of Yacolt, Andrew (Carrie) Halme of Davenport, Julie (Bob) Whitehorn of Seattle, Brent (Lisa) Halme of Woodland, 63 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and several great, great grandchildren.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Tim Halme in 1963 and Hilda Halme in 1979, his one sibling and brother, Tim Halme in 2001 and a great grandchild, Samuel Ritola in 2008.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday July 1, 11:00 am at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, 32320 Lewisville Highway, Battle Ground, Washington with committal following the service at the Elim Cemetery in Brush Prairie. Viewing will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday June 30, at the same Church.
