

Janet was born on June 19, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois. She was the daughter of Walter and Catherine Bronowski. She grew up in Illinois along with her two brothers, Adolph (deceased) and Adrian Bronowski. As a young girl, Janet had a number of interests. To family and friends who knew her best, Janet will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
On November 30, 1946 Janet exchanged wedding vows with Robert N. Spencer at the Lutheran Church of Chicago. She was blessed with three children, Robert P. Spencer, Cynthia Hauge and Susan Hall. Another blessing for her was the gift of seven grandchildren, Lance Spencer, Shannon Stewart, Brad Hall, Julie Riedel, Kimberly Fitzgerald, Jared Ellis and Matthew Ellis and 6 great grandchildren.
Janet was employed for over thirty years at Bemis Bag Company as a factory operator. She enjoyed her leisure time and hobbies, including her favorites, gardening, collecting antiques and cooking. She was an active member of The American Legion Aux. and The La Center Garden Club.
Janet was a lover of animals and cherished her pets. One of her favorites was Nikki, and Sheltie dog. They were best friends for 12 years.
Janet passed away on September 26, 2011 in Peoria, Arizona. She is survived by her children and grandchildren. A viewing will be held at Vancouver Funeral Chapel Wednesday, October 19, 2011 from 9 a.m. - 5p.m. She will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 1 p.m.
