

She was a star athlete at Herkimer High School where she graduated in 1985. She married Terry Hoyt on August 3rd 1987. She served 8 years in the U.S. Army serving in Operation Desert Strom; achieving the rank of SGT/E-5. She also was the only female lifetime member of the VFW POST 4915 in Herkimer and was a member of the Catholic faith.
Julie was a long haul truck driver where she has accumulated over 2 million safe accident free miles. She loved sewing, ceramics, watching sports, traveling, hiking, cooking, baking, photography and especially spending time with everybody’s pets.
Survivors include her husband, Terry, at home; Parents, Gary & Jean Garrow of Herkimer, NY; Brother & his companion, Sean Garrow & Melissa Kehler of Sauquoit, NY; Father & Mother – in –Law, Charles & Enola Hoyt of Boise, ID; Brother – In- Law Wayne Hoyt of Boise, ID; Sister-in-Law Pat Turpyn of Ridgefield, WA; Step-son Randy Hoyt of Dallas, TX; Step-Daughter Mary Caughern of Tulsa, OK. 2 Aunts, 1 Uncle, numerous cousins and many friends.
Committal service will be held on Tuesday October 21st 2014, 10:00am at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, OR.
