Marie Louise Clay, 92 of Vancouver WA, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018. She was born on July 21, 1925 in Vancouver, Washington to James and Louise (Wenzel) Andresen. She graduated from Fort Vancouver High School and received her Bachelor Degree from UCLA. While in Los Angeles, she worked as a bacteriologist for the county.
Marie operated RV Tours for over 20 years where she was a wagon master from Central America to Alaska. She was a den mother during her earlier years and most recently served with PEO Chapter GF. Marie was an avid traveler and known for being helpful to all.
Marie is survived by her sons Gregory D. Clay of Forest Grove OR, James E. Clay (Debra) of San Diego CA and David D. Clay of Forest Grove OR; brother James W. Andresen of Bainbridge Island WA; niece Suzanne Kirkpatrick-Andresen of Bainbridge Island WA; granddaughter Shannon Marie Clay and grandson Nathan David Clay both of Rome, Italy.
A viewing for Marie will be from 9:00am to 1:00pm on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Vancouver Funeral Chapel, 110 E. 12th Street with a Graveside service to follow at 2:00pm at Park Hill Cemetery in Vancouver, Washington. Contributions may be made as donations to the American Cancer Society.
