Maryalice B. Gordon, formerly Kubik, 79, of Vancouver passed away Monday, July 13, 2015, at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center. She was born March 16, 1936, in Astoria, Oregon to Archie and Phaye Gregory.
As a child, Maryalice and her family moved to the Aloha area, graduating from Beaverton High School. She attended classes at Portland State University.
In 1956 she married Donald N Kubik. After their two daughters were grown, they divorced.
Maryalice married Bob Gordon in June 1988.
The majority of her working life was spent in banking, retiring as a loan officer assistant with NW National Bank.
Maryalice loved music and was involved in church music programs throughout her life, singing in the choir and playing piano. When she was no longer able sing with the choir, she still enjoyed being involved by maintaining the music room and choir robes.
Studying genealogy fascinated Maryalice. Over the years she was able to trace her family heritage back to Miles Standish and Priscilla Mullins, who arrived in the U.S. during the Mayflower landing.
After retirement, she and her husband, Bob, chose to live full time in their 5th wheel RV, traveling the U.S. and Canada for 8 years. They also vacationed throughout Europe.
Maryalice is survived by her husband of 27 years, Bob Gordon; daughters, Teresa Street and Kathy (Doug) McManamy; step-children, Jo Anne Gordon, Robert (Barb) Gordon and Richard (Aime) Gordon; brother, Bill (Lynn) Gregory; and many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A memorial service for Maryalice will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, August 15, 2015, at Salmon Creek United Methodist Church.
