Orville E. Steed

Orville E. Steed passed away in Ocean Park WA on Dec. 20, 2014, at the age of 77. He was born in Nehawka, Nebraska on August 23, 1937. He was raised and educated in Vancouver, graduating from Vancouver high school. He served in the Navy, and was a sergeant for the Vancouver Police department for 20 years. He married Signe Wiik in 1960, and was a member of the Ocean Park Moose and Eagles lodge, and a member of St. Paul Lutheran church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting birds, and playing cards.

Survivors include his wife Signe, at home; daughters, Julie Briggs, Debra Burch, and Lori Steed all of Vancouver; brother, LeRoy Steed of Tacoma, WA; 7 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 2:00pm at St. Paul Lutheran church in Vancouver.

Contributions can be made to the Salvation Army.
