
Raymond T. Schroeder passed away Dec. 24, 2010 in Vancouver, WA. He was born Jan. 31, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois. He served in WWII, mostly in Austria and New Guinea. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, American Legion 40-8, Lutheran Mix Bowling League, and was retired from the Machinists Union. He loved to bowl and had been doing it since his early high school days and continued to bowl until September of this year. Ray always had a smile for every one and sometimes a joke. He enjoyed gardening and building things. Lately, one of his favorite pass times was to sit with his kitty and watch television together. Ray was loved by all who knew him and will be missed. He was preceded in death by his father; Harry, mother; Mildred, and brother; Harry Schroeder (who was lost in France). He is survived by his sister, Muriel Brannam of Vancouver and two nephews; Carl (June) Brannam and Roy (Iris) Brannam, both of Vancouver. A memorial service will be held Wed. Dec. 28, 2010 at 10:00 am in Grace Lutheran Church 9900 SE Mill Plain Blvd. Vancouver, WA 98664. Arrangements entrusted to Vancouver Funeral Chapel.
