

As a child of 8 years, Bob and his family moved from Minnesota to Vancouver, Washington. He attended and graduated from Ft. Vancouver High School. Following high school, Bob joined the war effort by enlisting in the Navy. He spent 2 years in the service, and upon his return home he attended the University of Washington, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science. He worked as an electronic engineer for Bonneville Power Administration, eventually retiring, after many decades of faithful service.
Bob was a member of Toast Masters and AmVets. He was very involved in the leadership of his church, First Christian Church in Vancouver. In his spare time, Bob ran a radio and TV repair business, and he enjoyed doing carpentry and travel.
Bob enjoyed people and giving back to his community. He was always incredibly generous.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Margaret Mary “Peggy” (Ed) Myers; grandchildren, Mary Myers, Joseph Myers, Gregory Myers, Robert Myers, Peter Myers, and Tamara Tiong; grandson-in-law, Jeremy Foran; great grandchildren, Hope and Grace; his foster family, April, Richard, Dustin, and Tami Stanley; Niece, Margaret Wilhelmie; and nephews, Brad Bauman and Glenn Sheeham. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Chris McLeod; grandson, Paul Myers; and granddaughter, Deatra Foran.
A memorial service for Bob will be 3:00 PM, Monday, June 20th at the Vancouver Funeral Chapel, 110 E. 12th St., Vancouver, Washington 98660. Private inurnment will take place at Willamette National Cemetery.
