Roy Donald Larson

Roy proudly served in the Air Force in many capacities including being a part of the 815th Combat Support Group, and working on the ICBM missiles as a member of the 548th Strategic Missile Squadron. He received many citations and awards including the 3358th Student Squadron Good Conduct Medal for 3 years, for demonstration of honor and service as an instructor. Finishing his military service with the rank of Sergeant.

Roy started his career in the early days of computer sciences. He excelled in his work, starting with Burroughs Computer Corp as a computer service manager. Then at Sharp Electronics, Inc., he played a vital role as the national sales manager in their computer components department, until his retirement.

Roy and Margaret enjoyed many years exploring America on the road in their motorhome. They touched many lives with their laughter, love and social graces. They also traveled throughout Europe and to Central America.

As a couple, they blended their love and family. Their legacy is a successful family with their 7 children – Carol (Paul), Charlene (Michael), Wendy (Terry), Sandra (Richard), Jeff (Cathy), Gary (Lisa), and Robert; his 13 grandchildren - Eric, Sarah (Richard), Lisa (Casey), Nick (Heather), Jerri Lynn, Kyle, Jessica, Sasha, Savannah, Devin, Ryan, Caden, and Cole; his 8 great-grandchildren – Hailey, Kelsey, Skyler, Taylor, Erica, Jaxon, Felix and Wyatt.

For years Roy and Margaret were active members of Grace Lutheran Church. While there he served on the stewardship board as president and played a fundamental role in raising money for remodeling the church and various other projects. For the last few years they have been attending Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, where he served on the Building and Grounds committee.

He was a loving father and grandfather, and a wonderful husband who believed and trusted in the Lord. He was a man who was admired and loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
